Messy Oaks by John Roland

Becoming an “oak of righteousness” can be very messy in real life.

About John Roland

I am a Christ-follower. Non-profit executive. I am married to an incredible wife with three awesome kids. Earned my MBA from Kennesaw State University, my Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a BS from Samford University. Originally from Tallahassee, Florida.

This blog is a place for me to post my thoughts, struggles and inspiration.  Isaiah 61 speaks of those who will undergo great struggles and disappointments.  Isaiah is offering his hearers/readers HOPE by encouraging them their hardships are not to be wasted.  Their pain and suffering will be redeemed so they “will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of God’s splendor.” The process of becoming an “oak of righteousness” can be very messy in real life. I strive to be an “Oak of righteousness” as I seek to navigate this messy life. My life is committed to investing in others so they too can become “oaks of righteousness.”

Writing/blogging is a way for me to express what God is teaching me.  May you be richly blessed!
